About Us

The South Carolina Radiological Society, an affiliate of the ACR, represents the over 400 radiologists, interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists who practice their craft within our state.

We seek to represent our members' interests not only within the state of South Carolina but also nationally. Politically, our focus is on the South Carolina legislature as well our Congressional representatives. We seek to work with other physicians and specialties within the South Carolina Medical Association. We also appoint members to several posts that represent our membership to state government and payer organizations.

Mission

Our mission is the advancement of radiologic science, improving radiologic services to patients and the medical community, and studying the economics of radiology; the encouragement of improved and continuing education; and the establishment and maintenance of high medical and ethical standards in the practice of radiology.
