ACR Offers Templates to Help Practices Assess Impact of Deficit Reduction Act Imaging Cuts
The American College of Radiology (ACR) has provided a study template to assist radiologists and business managers in assessing the impact of the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) imaging cuts on their practices.
The primary focus of the outcome-oriented survey is to gain quality, supplementary data demonstrating the negative effects the DRA cuts have had on practices and patients’ access to medical imaging.
The College asks that once you have completed your analysis of the impact on your practice, you share this data with the ACR to support our lobbying efforts to mitigate the effects of the DRA legislation.
How to Complete the Survey
This template requires the use of macros. Please follow the instructions below to enable macros:
- Once the template is opened, a pop-up window will ask to disable or enable macros. Click on “Enable” macros on the pop-up window.
- If you are not able to access the template, your computer’s macro security level will need to be lowered. To lower the security level, click on “Tools” on the Windows task bar, highlight macro, and then click on the security tab on the drop-down menu. The security level must be set to either ‘“medium” or “low.”
Note: Please input your practice data into the yellow highlighted cells which will quantify the impact of the DRA reductions to your practice’s Medicare reimbursement.
