The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) is collecting comments related to three quality measures and one cost measure developed to support the delivery of high-quality, low-cost breast cancer screening. Acumen, LLC, which created an expert panel with guidance from ACR to develop the measures, included breast-imaging radiologists, patients and other clinicians to assess performance in breast cancer screening and diagnosis.

The College urges member participation in reviewing the measures and providing comments. Here are the links to participate:

Input Survey (Complete by May 6)

Input provided to ACR will be shared with Acumen before it submits the new measures to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Annual Call for Measures May 10. CMS will consider these measures for future inclusion in the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), a CMS clinician quality program.

If you have questions about the new breast cancer screening measures, contact Samantha Shugarman, ACR Director of Quality Programs.
