It’s hard to believe that ACR 2024 is right around the corner. In just a few short weeks, we’re looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and welcoming new members to our annual meeting. This year, the meeting continues the celebration of an ACR milestone — 100 years of quality, integrity, leadership and innovation.

You will notice that we are trying something different at this year’s meeting; specifically, our CME lectures and other programming are designed around a unified theme that is important to our members: Radiology Workforce. This will include: sharing practical strategies and success stories for integrating AI into clinical practice, discussion about funding the future radiology workforce, specific actionable workforce solutions that have worked for your colleagues and augmenting the future workforce in radiation oncology.

ACR 2024 provides an opportunity to take part in Council business meetings and elections, caucus meetings and CME programming, in addition to comprehensive RFS, YPS and Medical Student Section sessions. ACR Convocation takes place Sunday, April 14, where we’ll induct our honorary and new Fellows and honor the Gold Medal and Distinguished Service Award recipients.

Council business takes place on Monday and Tuesday, April 15 and 16. Our Council agenda includes a total of 44 resolutions, including 11 proposed bylaw amendments, along with resolutions proposing new policies and policies to renew. We encourage members to learn more (login required) about the resolutions ahead of ACR 2024 and click on "Meeting Materials".

Next, our Moreton Lecture speaker is Woojin Kim, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer of Rad AI and a musculoskeletal radiologist. Dr. Kim’s presentation will focus on the next frontier of AI in medical imaging, followed by a Q&A session.

Finally, on Wednesday, April 17, we encourage all attendees to participate in Capitol Hill Day. There’s no better way for radiologists to get personally involved with advocacy for our radiology specialties than by meeting with members of Congress and their Congressional staff to discuss issues that affect radiologists and their ability to provide quality patient care.

On behalf of the Council Steering Committee, we are thrilled to continue our Centennial celebration during ACR 2024, April 13-17 in Washington, DC. We’re looking forward to seeing you very soon!
