The days are longer, and the grass is greener. Spring is here in full force, and your ACR Council Steering Committee is hard at work making final preparation for the 2023 ACR Annual Meeting. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC, May 6–10.
We will celebrate a major milestone at this meeting — 100 years of quality, integrity, leadership and innovation. The ACR Centennial provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the world-changing achievements and contributions of our members toward radiology, patient care and society. Together with volunteers and staff, we invite you to join us at the ACR Centennial Gala for a commemoration of our achievements.
In addition, ACR 2023 offers a variety of section-specific programming for RFS, YPS and Medical Student members, and offerings for all members such as Council business meetings and elections, ACR Convocation, caucus meetings, CME programming and more. This year, we’re excited for our first-ever Medical Student Session, happening Saturday, May 6 at 10am ET. This is a great opportunity for medical students to get more involved with the ACR, learn about our resources and meet fellow medical students from around our nation.
On Sunday, May 7, we’ll welcome our New and Honorary Fellows and honor the Gold Medal and Distinguished Service Award honorees during the ACR Convocation. Council business continues Monday and Tuesday with exciting lectures throughout, such as the Moreton Lecture with Dr. Glaucomflecken, Economics Forum and an open microphone session covering the topics of workforce issues and artificial intelligence. Finally on Wednesday, May 10, we’ll hold our first in-person Capitol Hill Day since 2019. Hill Day presents a hands-on opportunity for radiologists to get personally involved with advocacy for our radiology specialties by meeting with members of Congress and their Congressional staff to discuss issues that affect radiologists and their ability to provide quality patient care.
ACR 2023 may be our most memorable meeting yet. Please join us in-person or virtually as we celebrate our rich history and look forward to the next century, together.
