This course will present a comprehensive review of breast imaging, to include topics spanning conditions affecting the breast.
Course Overview
Join us for the upcoming Breast Imaging Categorical Course where you will get a comprehensive review of breast imaging and the radiologic characteristics of breast diseases as a reflection of the pathologic process.
Lack of understanding of the underlying pathology can lead to misinterpretation of radiologic images and the potential to overlook important complications, indications and long-term outcomes as it relates to specific procedures.
Instruction will be provided by nationally and internationally recognized faculty who will emphasize radiologic-pathologic correlation to enhance your understanding of breast imaging.
At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize the radiologic characteristics of breast diseases as a reflection of the pathologic process.
- Provide an accurate differential diagnosis and likelihood of malignancy based on mammography, ultrasound and MRI features.
- Establish concordance for results of percutaneous breast biopsy based on histopathology and imaging features.
- Manage patients with known or suspected breast cancer, understanding the needs of surgeons and medical/radiation oncologists.
