AIRP-ObservershipsThe ACR Institute for Radiologic Pathology™ (AIRP®) Visiting Observer Training Program offers non-U.S. radiologists and radiologists-in-training a unique opportunity to expand their expertise in genitourinary, gastrointestinal, cardiothoracic or musculoskeletal imaging while gaining insight into the U.S. medical education and healthcare system.

Conducted at the prestigious AIRP and affiliated hospitals and clinics in the Washington, DC area, this two-month observership provides in-depth clinical exposure. During the first four weeks, participants attend the renowned AIRP Radiologic-Pathology Correlation Course, receiving advanced training in image interpretation.

After the course, observers become embedded with academic patient-care teams alongside faculty, residents and medical students, allowing for a close-up view of patient care and U.S. medical education. Observers engage in case discussions, image analysis and team conferences, gaining valuable insights into cutting-edge radiologic techniques and procedures.

While U.S. licensing laws prevent direct patient contact, the program offers a comprehensive, hands-on experience, enabling participants to explore the latest advancements in medical technology and radiologic interpretation. Currently, observerships are available in cardiothoracic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal and musculoskeletal imaging.

This is an unmatched opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge in radiology while experiencing the U.S. medical system firsthand.
