ACR Ethics Committee
The ACR® Ethics Committee helps members navigate ethical issues in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and medical physics. Established during the 1997 Annual ACR Council Meeting, the Committee on Ethics is dedicated to assisting its members with ethical matters relevant to the practice of radiology.
Committee activities include:
- Acting in a consulting capacity to members who bring forth problems to it.
- Advising the College on ethical issues.
- Preparing a package of materials available to the membership in paper and web format.
Raising the consciousness of members on ethical issues through periodic publications in the ACR Bulletin. - Helping in the development of a curriculum on ethics.
- Reviewing possible misconduct by members as related to ethics.
