The Informatics Fellowship offers you, a radiology resident or early-career professional, an unparalleled opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of informatics. Through personalized mentoring and immersive projects, you’ll have the chance to expand your expertise and play an active role in shaping the future of healthcare technology.

As a fellow, you will work directly with top innovators at the Data Science Institute®, ACR AI-LAB™ and other leading ACR Informatics initiatives. You’ll be exposed to cutting-edge tools and methodologies, empowering you to make a tangible impact in your career and the broader radiology field.

Fellowship Highlights

  • August 2025 (2 days): Kick off with a virtual introduction to ACR staff, where you will engage with expert teams and participate in hands-on learning projects tailored to informatics.
  • September 2025 (3 days): Attend the ACR 2025 Quality and Safety + Informatics Conference in Washington, DC. This is your opportunity to connect with industry leaders, expand your professional network and deepen your knowledge of informatics trends.
  • Spring 2025 (1 week): Gain real-world experience at a pilot site, observing informatics implementation in a clinical setting. During this time, you’ll also benefit from one-on-one mentoring, lectures and independent study.

The fellowship culminates in the creation of an informatics white paper, written under the guidance of leading experts Drs. Tessa Cook and Adam Prater. This capstone project will enhance your professional portfolio and showcase your contributions to the field.

To support your journey, the fellowship is designed to fit around your existing schedule, with flexibility in session timing. You will also receive a $500 stipend upon completion of your white paper, and ACR will cover all travel and living expenses throughout the program.

This is your chance to advance your career, expand your expertise and be part of a groundbreaking fellowship in radiology informatics.
