American College of Radiology® (ACR®) CEO William T. Thorwarth Jr., MD, FACR, spoke recently with radiology media in support of the Protecting Access to Medicare Act appropriate use criteria (AUC) program. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services touts the value of the AUC program, but temporarily paused it in the 2024 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule final rule to allow Congress to make legislative updates to facilitate implementation.
