The American College of Radiology® (ACR®), the sponsor for the New IDEAS Study, seeks amyloid PET (Aβ PET) imaging facilities to participate in the study, which is a nationwide research study for people who have memory loss. A large network of participating imaging facilities allows for increased access to Alzheimer’s disease diagnostic services for Medicare beneficiaries across the country.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reimburses facilities that conduct Aβ PET imaging scans on study participants. Additionally, the New IDEAS study covers patient transportation to the scan appointment, and patient coinsurance and copays for the scan.

Imaging facilities interested in applying to participate in the study should complete the PET Imaging Facility Questionnaire. For more information, email newideas@acr.org.
