Stamatia V. Destounis, MD, FACR, Chair of American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Commission on Breast Imaging, will moderate a panel of experts from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Division of Mammography Quality Standards during an upcoming town hall, 2023 Amended MQSA Final Regulations. Online registration is now open for the town hall, Aug. 8, 4–6pm ET.

The panel will discuss new Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements that take effect Sept. 10, to modernize the act and improve enforcement of quality standards. Attendees will have an opportunity to engage with the panel during a Q&A session. Congress enacted the MQSA in 1994 to ensure that all people have access to quality mammography for the detection of breast cancer.
