Jan. 24, 2024

The National Cancer Institute will showcase research from four different Cancer Moonshot initiatives that support the 10 recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Panel (BRP) report. The BRP report describes 10 transformative research recommendations for achieving the Cancer Moonshot's goal of making a decade's worth of progress in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment in just five years.

The four presentations will inform the community about the progress of Cancer Moonshot-funded projects, provide outreach related to Cancer Moonshot projects, enhance discussions and collaborations related to Cancer Moonshot research, and promote the sharing of data from Cancer Moonshot initiatives. The four topics to be covered are:

  • Using Telemedicine and Implementation Strategies to Improve Cancer Care (Jan. 25).
  • Advancing the Understanding and Treatment of Adult and Childhood Cancers with Cancer Biology (Feb. 22).
  • Developing Immunotherapies for Adult and Childhood Cancers (March 28).
  • Implementation Science and Patient Engagement Approaches to Improve the Early Detection and Treatment of Cancer (April 25).

Registration for each seminar is required and is open now. For more information, contact Katie Grady, American College of Radiology® Government Affairs Director.
