C-RADS® establishes a standard approach to the reporting of colorectal and extra-colonic findings in patients. Features such as lesion morphology, size, and number as well as severity of disease are used to define the terms used in the C-RADS assessment categories.
Beyond clarity of communication to referring physicians, this scheme also provides the foundation to better evaluate results in clinical research and aids in the assessment of quality metrics and patient outcomes. Separate stratifications were developed for colorectal and extra-colonic findings.
