This is the definitive course that will shore up a weak area in nearly every radiologist's repertoire. This three day course will address all the difficult anatomy and pathology of the head and neck. The material will include predominantly CT and MR imaging with advanced application techniques also applied to ultrasound and PET/CT.

ACR: Neuroradiology - Head and Neck: 4/7-9/25

Course Overview

Is there any area that inspires more uncertainty in radiologists than the head and neck? Put those concerns to rest with our intensive, three-day Head and Neck Neuroradiology course, led by renowned experts in the field.

This comprehensive course delves into the complex anatomy and pathology of the head and neck, with a focus on CT and MR imaging, alongside advanced techniques for ultrasound and PET/CT. You’ll gain expertise in TNM staging of aerodigestive cancers, the intricate sinonasal cavity, skull base lesions and deep neck tumors. Uncover the secrets behind the most challenging areas, including the temporal bone, brachial plexus and dental lesions.

Through focused case reviews and targeted learning, you’ll master the work-up of incidental thyroid nodules, lymph node enlargement and cysts in the head and neck. With sixteen concise lectures and over 180 cases to review, this course offers a definitive boost to your radiology skills, positioning you as an expert in head and neck neuroradiology. Don’t miss the opportunity to become the go-to radiologist for complex head and neck imaging.

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Improve reporting of head and neck cancer imaging studies through familiarity with the AJCC TNM staging system.
  • Provide a concise differential diagnosis of red and white retrotympanic middle ear masses.
  • Describe the sinonasal and osteomeatal complex inflammatory disease in a way that assists the endoscopic sinus surgeon and highlights potential and existent complications.
  • Describe the role of ultrasound, fine needle aspiration and PET/CT in the work-up and follow-up of masses in the neck.
  • Locate an extramucosal mass in the head and neck in a fascia-lined space and provide a limited differential diagnosis for lesions in that space.
  • Differentiate among the common cysts and solid masses arising from the teeth.
