The Medical Student Section (MSS) Steering Committee (SC) leads the MSS throughout the year to develop resources for medical students and provides input to the Commission on Membership and Communications on issues related to membership retention and medical student outreach.
The MSS SC is comprised of appointed members approved by the Chair, Commission on Membership and Communications. The MSS Steering Committee includes the following officers:
The Steering Committee meets regularly (at a minimum quarterly) to make programming decisions in accordance with the ACR Strategic Plan. The presiding officer is the chairperson of the Steering Committee.

The Medical Student Section (MSS) Subcommittees develop resources for medical students and provide input to the MSS Steering Committee on issues related to medical student membership and outreach.
The MSS Subcommittees are overseen by members of the MSS Steering Committee and are comprised of 8-10 medical student or transitional year members (including chair) who are appointed for a one-year term. Subcommittees will meet regularly (at a minimum quarterly). In addition to the activities outlined on the subcommittee description, each group is responsible for reviewing relevant content on acr.org and coordinating with staff to update and/or remove outdated material.

Eligibility requirements:
Applicants for all positions must be active ACR members and classified as a Member-in-Training Medical Student or Transitional Year member when the form is submitted and for the duration of the term in which they will serve. Members are expected to serve a 1-year term beginning on June 1, 2024 and ending on May 31, 2025. Members must rotate off the subcommittee if they have "graduated out" of the section.
