The ACR Commission on Quality and Safety provides oversight and management for all ACR® quality and safety programs and initiatives, including Practice Parameters and Technical Standards, Appropriateness Criteria®, accreditation programs, designations, quality measurements, National Radiology Data Registry, RADPEER™ and Imaging-RADS.

Commission Goals

  • Promote quality in the practice of radiology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and medical physics.
  • Develop measures of quality for the practice of radiology.
  • Develop studies to measure the impact of standards, accreditation and other ACR initiatives on the quality of patient care.
