ACR Foundation Fiscal Year 2014 Top Accomplishments
- The ACR Foundation exceeded the $5 million campaign goal for the Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) Phase I Campaign with 158 pledges from ACR leaders, individual gifts as well as corporate and chapter gifts. RLI funds are used to promote leadership training, technology development and scholarships.
- The Harvey L. Neiman Molecular Imaging Fund was established to honor the lifetime work of Harvey L. Neiman, MD, FACR, who died in June 2014. The Neiman Fund will provide grants to allow radiologists working in molecular imaging to take part in educational opportunities, conferences and meetings relevant to molecular imaging. The Neiman Fund will also provide grants to physicians presenting papers on molecular imaging at conferences and symposia.
- The ACR Foundation received a grant from the Physician’s Foundation to roll out the RLI Expedition program, an intensive three-day leadership training course. The training focuses on individual leadership development with one-on-one training, coaching, and peer counseling, and a radiology-specific simulation exercise.
