The Florida Radiological Society was formed in 1977 and its purpose is advancing the science of radiology, improving radiologic service to patients and the medical community, and studying the economics of radiology; the encouragement of improved and continuing education for radiologists; and the establishment and maintenance of high medical and ethical standards in the practice of radiology.
Residents/Fellow
The Florida Radiological Society Resident and Fellows' Sections is for Members-in-Training of the FRS and ACR. The Resident and Fellow's section of the FRS was initially spearheaded by Dr. Doug Hornsby who had the foresight to realize that there were many exciting opportunities for Residents and Fellows to become involved in the FRS and ACR. This involvement includes, but is not limited to, working with the many leaders in radiology and business throughout the state of Florida and nationally with the many opportunities offered by the ACR.FRS Educational Information
The Foundation is an organization that shall be operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes that comply with the Articles of Incorporation. The Foundation’s proposed activities will include: Providing educational scholarships and grants to individuals for the purpose of paying their tuition and related educational expenses; educating the public and medical community of advances in radiology science and medicine through sponsoring distinguished speakers and funding radiology research; and the general promotion and advancement of the medical practice and science of radiology.
