Chapter membership is available to physicians who have been certified in a radiological discipline by the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, the Royal College of Physicians or the College des medecins du Quebec, or who are engaged in nuclear medicine and have been certified by a specialty board which is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or its Canadian equivalent.
Membership in the Virginia Radiological Society offers a great way to communicate with other radiologists across the state in order to advance our common goal of improving the quality of radiological care.
There are many reasons for diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists and medical physicists to join their local chapter. While each chapter offers a broad array of benefits and services, here are some reasons to become a member of the VRS:
• Government Relations
• Input into the ACR
• Guidelines and Standards
• Pathway to ACR Fellowship
• Educational Opportunities
• Resident and Fellow Section
• Commissions and Committees
• Professional Involvement
