The North Carolina Radiological Society (NCRS) is the statewide professional organization representing radiology and is a chapter of the American College of Radiology
The NCRS actively represents its members within the North Carolina Medical Society, in North Carolina legislative and regulatory matters, in the North Carolina Medicare Advisory Committee and in third-party payor issues. It sponsors educational activities in conjunction with its own spring and fall meetings and sponsors weekend CME courses in mammography and vascular ultrasound designed to facilitate accreditation requirements.
The NCRS advocates for excellence in radiology practice. It encourages its members to actively represent radiology in their communities, their hospitals, their professional societies and through political involvement.
