The Oklahoma State Radiological Society (OSRS) participated in the Oklahoma State Medical Association’s (OSMA) annual Medicine Day March 21 at the Oklahoma State Capitol. This event provides Oklahoma physicians with the opportunity to speak directly to their elected officials about issues impacting them and their patients. The main topics that were discussed this year centered around a health information exchange, non-physician scope of practice expansion and Medical Board appointments.
Dillon Harp, American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Senior State Government Relations Specialist, joined OSRS at the capitol. Harp described the event as a strong showing by the entire house of medicine! He also said that he would encourage more Oklahoma radiologists to get involved.
If you would like a member of the ACR state government relations team to join you for an advocacy event, contact Dillon Harp.
