The American College of Radiology ® (ACR®) participated in the American Medical Association’s (AMA) state advocacy roundtable Aug. 2–4. The roundtable was an opportunity for state advocacy professionals from national and state medical specialty societies to discuss pressing state-level topics. During this conference, topics included were scope of practice, prior authorization and physician burnout.
ACR staff in particular discussed issues with other association leaders that especially impact radiology.
As state legislatures prepare for their 2023 legislative sessions, the roundtable helped spark ideas about how the ACR can assist state radiological chapters advocate for their members and their patients.
