The Texas Radiological Society (TRS) has named Tilden “Ty” Childs III, MD, FACR, as its Gold Medalist in recognition of his outstanding contributions to radiology and radiologists in Texas. Dr. Childs will receive the award during the 109th TRS Annual Meeting Feb. 25–27.
Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Childs is a dedicated radiology advocate and a leader who maintains an active role in both advocacy and organized medicine. He dedicates his personal time to educate lawmakers about mammography and has developed a successful relationship with the Texas Medical Association throughout the years. Dr. Childs provides a great service to physicians and patients through his commitment and dedication.
The American College of Radiology® joins the TRS in congratulating Dr. Childs on this well-deserved award.
