The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) filed comments Jan. 2, with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding proposed disincentives for providers violating Information Blocking regulations.
ACR’s comments support appropriate access, exchange and use of electronic health information by providers and patients. The ACR recommended that HHS prioritize anticompetitive and otherwise harmful behaviors by major actors when determining which information blocking allegations to investigate and penalize.
For more information about the regulations, access ACR’s Information Blocking webpage. For questions about the proposed rule or ACR’s recent comments, contact Michael Peters, ACR Senior Government Affairs Director.
