The American College of Radiology® (ACR®), state radiological societies and other physician groups continue to hear about non-physician healthcare provider groups and organizations pushing to expand their scope of practice. Throughout 2022, ACR staff monitored numerous pieces of scope of practice legislation and more are expected when state legislatures reconvene in 2023.
The American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®) has created a way for state radiological societies to battle scope of practice legislation through the Scope of Practice fund. State societies used the scope fund in the past to highlight the need and value of physician-led healthcare teams.
If you have questions about scope of practice legislation or applying for an ACRA scope of practice grant, contact Eugenia Brandt, ACR Senior Government Affairs Director, or Dillon Harp, ACR Senior State Government Relations Specialist.
