The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) delegation to the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD) meeting in Chicago provided unwavering support for two resolutions — one that would decrease barriers for patients seeking lung cancer screening (Resolution 112) and one that would require Medicare Advantage Organizations to pay for costs associated with patients participating in clinical trials under the Clinical Trials National Coverage Determination 310.1 (Resolution 220).
With the endorsement of the ACR delegation and the additional support from the members of the Radiology Section Council, both resolutions passed the AMA HOD and will now become AMA House policy and part of AMA’s advocacy agenda.
The College would like to thank Steve Falcone, MD, Chair of the ACR AMA Delegation, as well as Loralie Ma, MD, PhD, FACR, Chair of the AMA Radiology Section Council, for their leadership and ability to navigate the successful adoption of both of these resolutions.
