The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) has two quality payment measures undergoing endorsement review by the National Quality Forum (NQF). These measures include the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) measure #195, “Stenosis Measurement in Carotid Imaging Reports,” and the Dose Index Registry measure ACRad 34, “Overall Percent of CT Exams for which Dose Length Product is at or below the Size-Specific Diagnostic Reference Level.”
NQF sets rigorous standards before making an endorsement. NQF-endorsed measures and standards serve as a critically important foundation for initiatives to enhance healthcare value, make patient care safer and achieve better outcomes. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services places great value on NQF endorsements when determining which measures it will retain for programs such as MIPS.
The public comment period is open until Sept. 7. View the measure information and submit a comment from the ACR website.
