The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) recently produced 2024 State Government Relations Update, a webinar for members interested in learning more about ACR’s state-level advocacy efforts and resources the College offers state societies. The webinar provides an in-depth look at how ACR assists chapters in building relationships with lawmakers, tracking legislative developments, and engaging with coalitions to advance radiology-focused advocacy efforts on behalf of patients and their providers. It outlines key 2024 issues including scope of practice legislation, cancer screening mandates, prior authorization reforms, and artificial intelligence use in healthcare.
The webinar also provides a comprehensive overview of the support tools available to state radiologic societies, including bill tracking services, model legislation, and the American College of Radiology Association Scope of Practice Grant that helps chapters advocate against the expansion of non-physician scope of practice.
