The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently identified a revenue code issue that caused certain claims for diagnostic radiology procedures of the heart (code 75580, Noninvasive estimate of coronary fractional flow reserve (FFR) derived from augmentative software analysis of the data set from a coronary computed tomography angiography, with interpretation and report by a physician or other qualified health care professional), to incorrectly return to provider.
The issue is now corrected. Claims incorrectly returned with 2024 dates of service may be resubmitted for payment. For more information, see 2024-09-26-MLNC | CMS.
