Call for Abstract Reviewers

The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) invites you to serve on the Abstract Review Committee. This is a two-year term in which you will be a part of ensuring abstract content is of high quality for the ACR Annual Meeting in 2025 and 2026. The deadline to sign up to be a reviewer is Jan. 20, 2025.

Abstract Reviewers must be an ACR member (MITs are not eligible) and have completed training and residency.

Each abstract will have at least three reviews, each taking about five to ten minutes. The total number of abstracts you will review depends on the number of abstracts submitted.  An online peer-review database streamlines the process using a rating system, there is no substantial free text required. The online review site is tentatively scheduled to be open for approximately three weeks from late-January to late-February 2025.

We received over 200 abstract submissions for the 2024 meeting and are anticipating having around the same number or more submissions for ACR 2025.

There are five categories for submissions:

  1. Advocacy, Economics and Health Policy.
  2. Informatics and Data Science.
  3. Leadership and Practice Management.
  4. Quality and Safety.
  5. Training and Education.

Reviewers play a critical role in the ACR Annual Meeting, we appreciate your time and consideration to recognize the outstanding work of radiologists and trainees.

“Being an ACR Abstract Reviewer has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The process is well-structured and efficient, making it manageable even with a busy schedule. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of reviewing diverse abstracts and feel a great sense of satisfaction in helping to shape the content of the ACR meetings.”
