The American College of Radiology® (ACR®) is greatly pleased by the American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees appointment of Ezequiel “Zeke” Silva III, MD, FACR, as Chair of the AMA Multispecialty Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC).
On March 1, the immediate past Chair of the ACR Commission on Economics and Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute® founding board member will begin his two-year term as RUC chair.
“Dr. Silva’s outstanding collaborative work and contributions in the fields of medicine and healthcare economics have earned the respect and trust of physicians and allied professionals across the house of medicine. I can’t think of a better choice to lead the AMA Multispecialty Relative Value Scale Update Committee into the future,” said William T. Thorwarth, MD, FACR, Chief Executive Officer of the ACR.
In addition to economics, Silva is also a leading voice for safe and effective care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
