On behalf of the American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Medical Student Subcommittee, we are excited to announce that the 2022 ACR Medical Student Symposium will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022, from noon to 5pm ET! The symposium will include talks from internationally renowned leaders in various radiology subspecialties, program directors on how to match into radiology, and radiologists passionate about the topics of women in radiology, and diversity and inclusion in radiology.

Last year's inaugural ACR Medical Student Symposium was a tremendous success, with more than 300 attendees across the globe. We plan to make the event even bigger and better this year! Based on feedback from last year’s event, our goal is to make this year’s symposium more interactive with attendees. We have speakers lined up to highlight a variety of radiology subspecialties, as well diversity and inclusion, and artificial intelligence in radiology. We will also hold a live Q&A where students can interact with the speakers. Medical students will also have the opportunity to participate in the symposium by presenting a radiology case based on the theme “COVID-19: Unique Findings & Manifestations.” Three cases will be selected for presentation on the day of the symposium. We will conclude the day with an interactive Virtual Escape Room, a fun and gamified learning environment where you will work with other students to learn about radiology.

We hope this symposium encourages fellow students to explore radiology by exposing them to the wide range of career possibilities within the field. We are beyond excited to host the event again this year and cannot wait to see you in January.
