Developed under a grant award from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Closing the Recommendations Follow-up Loop on Actionable Incidental Findings Measure Set proved valid and feasible during testing. We are pleased to announce that this set of nine quality measures, aimed at ensuring the completion of evidence-based, radiologist-recommended follow up, is available for early adoption into practice.
The measure set will be included in the ACR® National Radiology Data Registry’s General Radiology Improvement Database. Early adopters have the opportunity to:
- Use these quality measures to support the development of a new follow-up workflow or improve an existing flow.
- Support the measures’ potential use in accountability programs like the CMS Quality Payment Program. ACR must acquire data demonstrating that the measures can be successfully implemented into programs according to their specified measurement level (e.g., physician, group, facility or system level).
- Implement the nine available measures. However, you don’t need to use all the measures to serve as an early adoption site.
Please visit the Performance Measures page to learn more about early adoption or send questions to measure.development@acr.org.
