ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards
The ACR Council considered a total of 49 resolutions at ACR 2021 with two withdrawn before the start of Council. During the meeting, 45 resolutions were adopted, including 30 revised PP & TS and one new PP (ACR Practice Parameter for the Performance of Preoperative Image-Guided Localization in the Breast). No PP documents were referred for further revision. The ACR-AAPM Technical Standard for Medical Nuclear Physics Performance Monitoring of PET Imaging Equipment was sunset.
Several of the PPs were a result of collaborative efforts between the ACR and 15 other medical societies. The new and revised PP & TS will be available on the ACR website upon receipt of all final approvals from collaborating societies, but no later than September 2021. The updated PPs will be effective on Oct. 1, 2021.
There were no documents that were included in the alternative approval process (referred for additional revision).
