The National Mammography Database (NMD) Committee is seeking participants to serve on the NMD Quality Improvement and Education (QED) Subcommittee. The committee’s overarching responsibility is to encourage and guide NMD participants in using their registry reports to improve performance and patient care.
Specific QED activities will include recommending enhancements for existing reports, suggesting new reports, implementing new measures, developing specific quality improvement strategies and preparing publications related to the subcommittee’s work.
Ideal candidates to serve on the QED Subcommittee are those who work at an NMD-participating facility, are involved in submitting or reviewing facility data, and have a strong interest in data-driven improvement strategies.
The QED Subcommittee will likely include four to six people, including radiologists, technologists, program administrators and imaging quality professionals, who will meet monthly.
