About Catherine Everett, MD, MBA, FACR
Catherine is a summa cum laude graduate of Duke University with a degree in mathematics, and received her MD degree at the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine. She finished her residency and fellowship at UNC, and entered private practice at Coastal Radiology in New Bern, NC where she is still working 39 years later.
She is a long term managing partner of the practice, and currently serves as president. Catherine served on the executive committee of the medical staff at Carolina East Medical Center for 16 consecutive years, as both chair of the department of imaging, and an at-large member. She was the first, and only, female chief of staff.

Dr. Everett has been married to Joe Goins for 45 years. Spring is always stressful on the marriage, as he is a UNC grad, and Dr. Everett, as well as her two sons, are Duke grads. They must watch games in different parts of the house, to maintain civility. Dr. Everett and her husband have five successful children, two sweet grandchildren, and two wonderful rescue dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Everett enjoys wakeboard, waterski, paddle board, and kayak. Shear barely learned to surf about 2 years ago, in Costa Rica. Additionally, Dr. Everett and her husband are CrossFit junkies. They go almost every morning to the 5:30 am class.
