Howard B. Fleishon, MD, MMM, FACR, Chair, American College of Radiology® (ACR®) Board of Chancellors, contributed this post.
I want to invite all members to please join ACR leadership and a number of your colleagues on Thursday, November 4, at 8pm ET, for a Town Hall discussion of the results of the recent ACR Member Survey on Non-Physician Radiology Providers (NPRP), which included a series of questions on the Medicare Access to Radiology Care Act (MARCA).
Joining me to share the survey results and to hear – and respond to – your questions will be:
- Amy L. Kotsenas, MD, FACR, Speaker, ACR Council
- Eric M. Rubin, MD, FACR, Chair, ACR Commission on Human Resources
- Timothy L. Swan, MD, FACR, Chair, ACR NPRP Task Force
- Joshua Cooper, Vice President, ACR Congressional Affairs and Government Relations (ACR Staff)
- Jo Tarrant, ACR Environmental Intelligence (ACR Staff)
We recognize the importance of these issues to ACR members. Proper supervision and interpretation of imaging exams by highly trained radiologist physicians is critical to accurate diagnosis and treatment of disease, injury and illness. The ACR continues to actively oppose any independent practice, imaging supervision or interpretation by non-physician providers.
We are looking forward to a robust and professional dialogue on Nov. 4 and will be sharing opportunities for you to become involved in guiding scope of practice for NPRP.
Please register now (member login required). Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email containing your unique log-in and more information about joining the webinar. I look forward to seeing you there!
